Board of Trustees
Village of Tarrytown
Special Meeting No. 8
June 8, 2010
8:00 a.m.
PRESENT: Mayor Fixell, Trustees Basher, Hoyt, McGovern and Zollo; Administrator Blau
ABSENT: Trustees Butler and McGee
Authorize Execution of Contract to Purchase a Custom Two-Stage 2,000 Gallon Per Minute Pumper
Trustee Zollo moved, seconded by Trustee Basher to open the Special Meeting.
Administrator Blau noted that the Board of Trustees awarded the bid for the purchase of the new pumper to Hendrickson Fire Rescue Equipment for $628,846, which included their original bid of $619,646 plus the revisions of additional flow meters, $3,900; an additional air conditioning unit, $5,300. Hendrickson Fire Rescue Equipment is a manufacturer’s representative for Crimson Fire, Inc. The Village received a draft contract from Crimson Fire, Inc. for the purchase of the pumper and the Village Administrator and the Village Attorney were working with the legal department from Crimson Fire, Inc. to modify a number of provisions in the agreement. Crimson did modify much of the agreement and that modified agreement is now before the Board of Trustees for approval.
Trustee Zollo moved, seconded by Trustee Basher that the following resolution be approved. Motion carried, all voting “aye”. Approved: 5-0.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Crimson Fire, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Spartan Motors, Inc. of Brandon, South Dakota for the purchase of a custom two-stage 2,000 gallon per minute pumper to be utilized by the Riverside Hose Company.
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee Hoyt and unanimously carried that the Special Meeting be adjourned at 8:20 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Michael S. Blau
Village Administrator
